Lately I have been fighting inertia in my job. I start out okay, but I quickly lose focus and can't manage to get back on track. (I work from home.) So I have decided to take a stand.

You see, God has brought me through a lot to get to job I am in right now. (Might post about that at another time.) And I believe that He is asking me to honor Him by writing this as a reminder, a touchstone of sorts & to be honest, a kick in the pants to get on with it.

When the children of Israel found themselves rescued by God (again), they worshiped Him (again) and..."Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen and called its name Ebenezer; for he said, 'Till now the Lord has helped us.' (Ebenezer means stone of help.) 1 Samuel 7:12

Robert Robinson wrote the word to the hymn that quotes from this verse:
Come Thou Fount of every blessing
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace;
Streams of mercy, never ceasing,
Call for songs of loudest praise
Teach me some melodious sonnet,
Sung by flaming tongues above.
Praise the mount! I'm fixed upon it,
Mount of God's unchanging love.

Here I raise my Ebenezer;
Hither by Thy help I'm come;

And I hope, by Thy good pleasure,
Safely to arrive at home.
Jesus sought me when a stranger,
Wandering from the fold of God;
He, to rescue me from danger,
Interposed His precious blood.

O to grace how great a debtor
Daily I'm constrained to be!
Let that grace now like a fetter,
Bind my wandering heart to Thee.
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
Prone to leave the God I love;
Here's my heart, O take and seal it,
Seal it for Thy courts above.

So I am raising my Ebenezer. God has been my Help thus far & He IS faithful. He will never abandon me; I will not abandon the work He has called me to because of a wandering heart.

Thank you for praying for me today! The test was no where as bad as I thought it was going to be. Thank goodness!
